As a member of the client’s “OSS System Integration – Faults and Solutions” team, reporting to the Senior Manager, the Remedy Developer will be responsible to manage and support the OSS ITSM solution components and systems for the mobile network. His/her expertise covers the ARS, BAO processes, ITSM modules and more. He/she will work in pair with the ITSM team, CMDB expert, business Analyst and Technical SME in delivering solutions.

The Remedy Developer will participate at the analysis of business requirement, design and deployment of a project's components, as well as the support once deployed. Moreover he/she is responsible to identify improvement opportunities and see to implementation of solutions as part of continuous improvement.

Job Duties/Accountabilities:

Participate in the definition of the business requirements in terms of impact analysis and costs to our operations considering the data architecture strategies in the current environments;

Analyze and evaluate options to meet business requirements;

Can create high-level designs or provide architectures directions to be used as inputs to detailed designs;

Ensure knowledge transfer to operational resources including Documentation for support as deployed by projects

Supports, troubleshoots and modify already-developed code;

Works with Business Analysts and / or Architects to resolve issues;

Defines common guidelines and practices to improve productivity and quality of programs and ensures adherence by the team members;

Is responsible for unit tests;

Participates in Quality Assurance reviews;

Willing to travel and work out of normal hours occasionally

Essential Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technologies, Software Engineering, Computer Sciences or equivalent experience;

Generic knowledge of all IT domains;

10+ year’s technical experience with at least three (3) years as a Integrator and analyst preferably in a Telecom environment;

Has worked in an environment using Scrum framework

Experience with software development

Experience with BMC Remedy 7.6 and higher

ARS application development experience

Extensive knowledge of Remedy's ITSM modules, including Service Request Management

Able to Review and analyze the overall requirements

Able to Provide detailed design for the solutions

Experience integrating Remedy with other applications and services

Strong working familiarity with relationship databases

Ability to estimate level of effort for customizations, enhancements and other configuration requests

Experience with developing complex documents.

Preferred Skills:

Bilingual (French/English) who has the capacity to adapt his communication to most of the situations and audience. Proficient in planning his communications, facilitating a meeting or workshop;

Able to proactively plan his/her work over multiple timeframes – week-months-year and juggle multiple priorities and deliver as per commitments;

Able to plan and execute complex tasks without supervision, identify potential roadblocks and mobilise resources to remove them and achieve goals;

Able to identify and analyze complex problem, identify root cause, provide detailed description and plan, design and deliver workaround/solution;

Capable to evaluate without supervision the effort & time required to complete a deliverable and/or task thru collaboration, teamwork, honesty, commitment and respect;

Basic knowledge of cost drivers associated with OSS systems deployment and operations with the ability to develop simple business cases for projects;

Comfortable interviewing non-technical people to gather/discuss requirements;

Knowledgeable of ITIL and problem ;

Gets easily acquainted to new technologies ;

Wireless/Telecom Operations and Engineering business Knowledge including basic understanding of Radio access, Core network and Value added Services technologies and configurations is an asset.
