Bell’s Network Big Data Centre of Excellence is a newly formed Team within the Bell network organization focused on utilizing Big Data and advanced analytics technologies and solutions to support the planning, build, engineering, operations, and evolution of the Bell networks.
Big Data is one of the fastest growing business and technology disciplines. Specifically, in Telecom, there are great opportunities to utilize Big Data and advanced analytics solutions to evolve network planning and operations and prepare for the future network.
Key responsibilities:
Work with Network Big Data CoE Team members to understand and analyze business needs Develop innovative, high-quality User Interface for Big Data Team Translate concepts effectively against objectives and deliver on schedule Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative design ideas for WEB layouts Design easy-to-use, intuitive user experiences, and interfaces for a variety of projects and applications with consideration to end-user platforms/browsers UI/UX: making wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes; implementing and recommending best practices for user interfaces Expand your knowledge of BI and current technology Required Competencies:
Professional degree in UI and UX related disciplines Demonstrated artistic aptitude, exceptional sense of design Experience in software solution requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing UI/UX skills: proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent programs; working knowledge of the design process; experience designing for different platforms (WEB, mobile) using Sketch, Axure RP or alternate WEB Developer (Front-end) skills: proficiency in HTML, CSS, object-oriented JavaScript; experience using the latest WEB standards, HTML5, CSS3; familiarity with JavaScript frameworks (React.js), CSS preprocessing languages (Sass); experience using HTML/CSS/JS frameworks (Bootstrap) and working with RESTful APIs Experience working with Scripting languages on Unix or Linux environment Gifted thinker who is extremely resourceful and can learn new technologies on the fly, driven, curious to learn more and proactive Team player who always has the interest of the Team above all other priorities Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills with a strong attention to detail Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, at the same time fun and possess a good sense of humour
