Description
Responsibilities:
Design, implement and support software to facilitate digital distribution of content including CraveTV, TMN, HBO, CTV, TSN, Discovery, RDS, CTV News, CP24, and several others
Develop and maintain XML templates for content partners, using various templating tools
Develop back-end components in C#, leveraging web APIs and Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL)
Proactively monitor in-service software, making any alterations required to ensure optimal service
Extend existing software as necessary, to suit the needs of the business
Occasionally be required to work late shifts as necessary to reduce the impact of maintenance windows on the user base
Work effectively with a team of developers
Perform other duties as assigned
May require travel between downtown office (260 Richmond) and Scarborough office (9 Channel Nine Ct)
Qualifications:
University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics
3+ years working experience
Strong .NET object oriented programming skills with C#
Experience with Cottle an asset (https://r3c.github.io/cottle/)
Experience with MSSQL and T-SQL stored procedures an asset
Experience with Systems Integration
Excellent problem-solving skills
Working knowledge of Git
Knowledge of Atlassian tools an asset (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket)
Experience with content management systems an asset
An ability to work effectively with people, materials and resources to get things done efficiently; can orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish goals
