Client facing, candidate will be primarily working on assisting client facing project managers and doing a lot of work in the backend. Documentation and schedule updating, ticket creation and interaction with internal teams supporting project delivery. Work on customer contract renewals and terminations and cleanup of outstanding tasks for completed projects.

Work from home? To an extent yes, 1 or 2 days a week at most

The successful candidate will assist delivery project managers with execution of client facing project work. Additional responsibilities will include working on customer termination and renewal orders, documentation updates, ticket backlog cleanup.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing and developing appropriately detailed project plans and prepares time and cost estimates.
  • Acts as a project coordinator to complete specified implementation tasks.
  • Assists in creating implementation schedules and priorities.
  • Ensure work is completed according to specifications and timelines, and monitors expenditures as appropriate.
  • Performs final quality assurance before environments are delivered to customers and handed off to Day 2 support.
  • Applies project management methods to all change requests.
  • Provides regular updates and status reports on projects and advises of any significant project issues, which may affect established timelines or budgets.
  • Work on client termination orders.
  • Work on clearing existing ticket backlog
  • Participates in the development of new processes and improvements to existing ones.
  • Is able to deal with multiple projects running simultaneously.
  • Contributes to the continued process improvement and development of the team by sharing information, knowledge, and lessons learned on regular basis.
  • Qualification/Competencies/Skills:

  • Previous experience in project management capability.
  • Previous experience with IT environments and subsystems.
  • Developed experience in creating work breakdown structures, process mapping skills/ workflow charting, budget creation/forecasting/tracking.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills-tact, patience, diplomacy and a demonstrated ability to liaise effectively at all levels.
  • Analytical, presentation and communication skills (clear, precise verbal and written skills).
  • Ability to multi-task / time manage / prioritize.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, displays high sense of urgency.
  • Ability to learn quickly and keep an open mind.
  • Strong aptitude to recognize opportunities for improvement and take appropriate action.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, communication (oral and written) skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Solid project management background and experience with demonstrated success
  • Excellent proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel
  • Proficiency in MS Project preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Visio an asset
