The role:
Working independently to resolve IT issues for Bell Media’s On Air production, supporting newsrooms, studios and control rooms. You will provide technical expertise and support to ensure all issues are resolved in a timely fashion; additionally you will participate in system maintenance, hardware upgrades, and installation and support of business applications.
Job Duties / Accountabilities:
Mandatory shift work required including evenings, weekends and holidays Ability to work independently at all timesWork with users and other technical personnel to resolve problemsResponsible for On Air production support including newsrooms/studios/control roomsKnowledge of Production applications an asset (iNews, PRX, Harris systems)Answers telephone support requestsManage assigned tickets in a timely fashionAssumes responsibility for tasks assigned to them and ensures proper technical solutions have been appliedWork with users and other technical personnel to resolve problemsParticipates in system maintenance, upgrades, etcInstalls / upgrades business applicationsSupports remote access (Citrix, VPN, WAN) to business applicationsSupports corporate email on mobile devicesCreates and updates technical documents for knowledge databaseEssential Qualifications / Competencies:
Minimum of 2 years experience with:
Troubleshooting IT issues for Windows 7 workstations and MS Office 2010Knowledge of network technologies (TCP/IP VPN, DHCP)Knowledge of Business apps (Reppak, IBMS, Borealis, InfoSys, MicroBBM)Experience with mobile devices and (McAfee EMM/BES)Experience using SCCM (remote control console)Experience with Exchange Management Console – (2010)Experience with Active DirectoryExperience with HP Service ManagerStrong time management and organizational skillsStrong communication skills and ability to work well under pressureDiploma or Degree in Computer Studies or related field an asset.Working Conditions:
Hours of work are 40 hours per week (shift work). Overtime as required.Must be able to lift 30lbs (13.6kg), to move computer equipment.Bell Media is dedicated to equality in the workplace.Work location - 9 Channel Nine Court, Toronto
