Position Description

IMPORTANT

Projects include BCRIS Bypass, SOF Bypass, and other 2025 roadmap projects in the Field Services space.The financial aspect is ensuring we spend within our Capital budget and provide accurate forecasting on a month over month basis for our YEEs. Also, knowing how to close a project’s budget, and inputting codes.

Name and description of the hiring department:

Our client delivers quality projects, programs and processes meeting evolving customer demands. Reporting to the Sr Project Manager, this position would be accountable to deliver the projects to our client's operations. You will become the liaison between the Sponsor team, IT development team, Vendors, and the Operational groups that are using that technology to do network planning, network provisioning and service assurance and other operations functions within the company.

Job duties / accountabilities:

  • Develop scope, manage the planning, implementation and delivery of projects to meet client requirements
  • Manage project teams to deliver project scope on-time and budget
  • Develop/Manage project budget
  • Manage and maintain project WBS
  • Provide reports on the project status, maintain an issue log and project plan
  • Responsible for risk/mitigation planning
  • Utilize project management methodologies and provide appropriate documentation that is consistent and reusable
  • Respond to issues and manage the customer’s expectations regarding any changes during the project life cycle

Essential skills / competencies:

  • 3-5 years of formal Project Management experience
  • Proven ability to manage successful business relationships with peers in various departments & at different levels of management
  • Proven facilitation skills
  • Proven ability to pull together experts & gather project requirements
  • Excellent communication skills both oral & written
  • Strong PC & Internet skills including working at the intermediate level in MS Office programs
  • Strong planning & organization skills
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Financial management

Preferred skills / competencies:

  • Experience with Agile delivery and SAFE Framework
  • Relevant Degree or Diploma, Project Management Certification (PMP or PMC) and/or BA Certification
  • Previous experience with the company
  • Experience and knowledge of Access Technologies, Optical Ethernet, Transport Network
  • Direct experience or knowledge of both the NTI & Operations Processes would be a definite asset
  • Knowledge of SAP, CATS, PEATs. and BBSP to manage project financials and status, including resource engagement processes such as Operations Front Door.
