    Candidate can be located anywhere in Canada as they will work remotely due to COVID-19. Post pandemic the resource may be asked to work in Mississauga, Montreal or Ottawa.

    The Contact Centre IT Delivery team is currently seeking an energetic and passionate Project Manager to join our IT Delivery team. We are at the forefront of delivering innovative call centre solutions.

    Position Description:

    The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, resourcing, overseeing project activities, managing finances and risk within the project cycle. The Project Manager will work with various delivery stream leads and business client counterparts to ensure that the overall project management plan, financials, and change management process are managed. This job function is also accountable for identifying and mitigating project (financial and operational) risks, delivering the projects on time, and within capital and expense budgets. Excellent communications skills are mandatory.

    Job Duties/Accountabilities:

    The successful candidate will be accountable for the following:

  • Responsibility and ownership for funded projects, and has a great deal of customer contact and accountability
  • Schedule Management – Ensures that project timelines are established and published and assists with the determination of a project scope that is scheduled in manageable components
  • Financial management – oversees the forecasting, budget tracking, analysis and communications assessed, documented and managed through to completion
  • Risk Management – communications, mitigation and tracking of overall project risk
  • Status and Communication management – accountable to create project status and communication materials for executive review
  • Change Management – accountable for the efficient and timely management of the Change Management process – ensures all project change requests are well understood, and tracked
  • Process Management – participates in project delivery best practices, and focal point for overall project health
  • Works closely with the business stakeholders and the IT teams to mitigate project risk and maintain momentum.
  • Provides leadership and direction within the project team
  • Critical Qualifications/Competencies:

    The successful candidate must have:

  • Minimum 5 years Project Management or equivalent experience
  • Experience with IT Upgrade Projects
  • Strong business acumen
  • Technical experience in telecommunications systems development
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently in a complex, diverse environment with multiple and changing demands
  • Extensive knowledge of principles, practices and theories in the Project Management discipline
  • Outstanding record of project management success, both in results achieved and in use of professional methodology
  • Strong facilitation, negotiation and communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others
  • Team player and ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and multiple projects

  • Other Qualifications/Competencies:

  • College certificate or University degree in business administration, information technology or related disciplines
  • Experience with Verint Contact Recording
  • Familiarity with telecommunications and customer care applications
  • Familiarity with Call Centre technologies
  • Project Management certification (ie. PMP) is an asset
  • Knowledge of MS Project and other project management tools
  • 5+ years Experience in project management of IT technology solutions that focus on telecom or complex web based solutions
  • Working Conditions:
