IMPORTANT
Bilingualism is required (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
A college diploma or bachelor’s degree in the health field, industrial relations, human resources, or relevant discipline ;
Three to five years experience as a workplace injuries consultant.
Excellent communications skills (verbal and written);
Team-oriented;
Knowledge of the laws and regulations in force in these provinces (an asset);
Knowledge of Employer D (an asset);
Knowledge of SAP (an asset).
Ensure the administrative and medical management of claims files mainly for Quebec (CSST) and Ontario (WSIB);
Promote the safe return to work of injured employees and initiate the accommodation process;
Support and supervise the work of the assistants - disability analysis;
Represent the employer in first level appeal challenges;
Assist in the preparation of 2nd level appeal hearings;
Interact with the various external stakeholders involved i.e. treating physicians, medical experts, therapists, reviewers, rehabilitation counsellors and others;
Determine the need for medical evaluations or any other type of evaluation relevant to the management of the file;
Write requests for sharing and transfer of charges;
Represent the Occupational Injury Management Group in communications with business unit managers, the Labour Relations Department and the Health and Safety Department when required;
Develop and disseminate training programs for business units;
Ensure quality control of statistical data;
Participate in the development and implementation of processes;
