JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Reporting to the Platform Manager (IT Delivery Leader), the Business Analyst is responsible for the delivery of projects for the customer's digital information solutions. The Business Analyst works primarily with project managers, project sponsors, functional analysts, developers and business experts. In collaboration with these various players, he/she must ensure the deployment of solutions that meet the identified needs and objectives while maximizing the value generated.
  • The Business Analyst will work with several business lines and delivery chains. As the Information Web platform is cross-functional, the Business Analyst is responsible for ensuring consistency between initiatives, identifying synergies and aligning the various opportunities.
  • The Business Analyst is responsible for accompanying business partners in defining all the requirements related to the project(s) they wish to carry out, setting up the product backlog and prioritizing it during the implementation activities. He/she must develop a great mastery of all business needs in order to be able to answer questions from multiple actors in the organization, in particular functional analysts and developers. Finally, he/she is responsible for the scope and activities related to its evolution during the implementation.
  • The business analyst is frequently required to solve complex problems. These require analytical and cross-organizational skills.
  • They interact with a large number of stakeholders working in various fields of expertise. He/she must be able to manage the various stakeholders with care. Interpersonal skills and the ability to engage employees are essential.
  • GENERAL TASKS

  • Accompany business partners in their Agile project management maturity by coaching them in the definition, management and prioritization of the backlog as well as their involvement in the Agile value delivery process.
  • Participate in the definition of the vision, orientations and objectives of the projects: Participation in the demand management committee, the gating process, the elaboration of the business case and the initial project strategy.
  • Continuous backlog monitoring: Define and maintain the product backlog up to date and prioritized.
  • Ensure the understanding of the product backlog by the functional analysts to enable them to document the technical requirements for the development teams
  • Continuously ensure that the scope and delivery strategy (releases) are defined, circumscribed and adapted according to the evolution of the business context and the objectives pursued.
  • Act as a reference for developers and analysts for all questions related to business needs.
  • Collaborate with the project manager on a multitude of aspects to ensure the alignment of scope elements with planning elements: Project plan and roll out, budgets, definition of approaches, identification and mitigation of risks, resolution of issues, communication, change management.
  • Active participation in the project committee and the project steering committee and any other recurring meeting necessary for the smooth running of the project (Example: weekly miscellaneous).
  • Actively participate in the agile ceremonies necessary for the realization of the projects
  • Work closely with key stakeholders: project manager, user experience and interface specialists, writers, translators, developers, functional analysts and integrators.

  • DESIRED SKILLS

  • Expertise in the information web context and digital marketing technologies.
  • Knowledge of the Scrum methodology. PSPO certification (An asset).
  • Customer focus, organizational skills, ability to quickly grasp business processes, diplomacy, clear communications, ability to communicate in layman's terms, strategic thinking, collaboration, interpersonal skills, ability to manage ambiguity and complexity.
