Participate in the design, development and implementation of security initiatives to ensure the best possible measures are in place to maintain a secure operation.

Monitor, evaluate, and maintain systems and procedures to safeguard internal information systems and databases.

Develop, implement, and enforce security strategies, policies and procedures.

Analyze, recommend and implement security technologies such as firewalls, IDS (network and server), certificates and PKI.

Qualifications include:

Knowledge of information security technologies, networks, and operating systems;

Knowledge of risk management frameworks, industry best practices, security policy creation;

Expert understanding of routing and network protocols;

and Undergraduate degree.

We, the messaging team, are looking for a very hands-on system integration engineer with a good security background. We are seeking a candidate who, mainly, will be part of our awesome messaging security team (~4 people) and will ensure that our services are compliant to security controls provided by corporate security team. The resource needs a good experience with infrastructure integration, deployment, security hardening, authentication & authorization concepts as well as according tools. We are seeking someone who will be comfortable representing the messaging team on latter topics and able to work with the team to implement timely & efficiently such requirements.

You will get to work with the messaging team, corporate security as well as many other teams while getting great exposure across the company.

Responsibilities

Assess & Implement various security controls across messaging services & apps, the latter hosted on-premise VMware, Openstack & other (cloud) infrastructure

Represent messaging services with corporate security teams & rest of company

Coach and work with messaging teams to ensure compliancy & progress

Support & track security KPI’s in partnership with rest of messaging security team

Build reference architecture, define guideline for development and integration team

Create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, sample code, and presentations adapted to technical teams

Automate manual task using Ansible and similar tools

Participate as system integration engineer on other messaging projects not related to security if bandwidth permits

Qualifications

5-10 years of experience with Linux system administration and deploying Telco services

Ninja Master Knowledge of Linux on various distributions

Ninja Master Knowledge in Sip protocol

Hands-on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, etc

Experience with network/system security, networking technologies and network monitoring tools

Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.

TLS knowledge (HTTPS, PKI, encryption, etc.)

Very familiar with automation/orchestration tools such as Ansible and code management tools (GIT), GitLab.

Good understanding of IT technologies (programming, cloud architecture, micro-services, automation) and practices (DevOps, TDD, CI/CD)

Minimum knowledge of computer languages such as python, java, etc.

IP network troubleshooting (Wireshark)

Cellular networks knowledge

Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

Bilingual (French/English)
