The Network Security Engineering and Program Management team is expanding its team to lead and scale the evolution of the cloud security practice.

Role:

Your main role will be to determine, evaluate, test and support the implementation of on-prem and cloud based key security controls to protect our assets and workloads hosted in public cloud. You’ll be involved in technical discussions and decisions with senior security architects and asset owners. An agile and incremental approach is essential to deliver flawlessly this security environment.

Candidates must be self motivated, open minded and a passion for creativity. The successful candidate will partner closely with other security architects and specialist internally.

Your responsibilities:

Determine, evaluate, test and support the implementation of on-prem and cloud based key security controls

Act as an cloud security advisor to support internal asset owners

Develop/augment/improve security compliance processes for public cloud environments

Assure successful implementation and functionality of corporate security requirements for public cloud environments

Interpret generic corporate security directives and controls into a public cloud context

Manage the complete lifecycle of cloud controls

Understand and improve the internal security operational processes with the introduction of new security controls

Supervise the development and implementation of new technological approaches, services and methods and analyze the resulting impact on security posture

Be an ambassador for cloud security within the enterprise

Essential skills:

5+ years of cyber security experience, including 2+ years of experience in design, implementation, and support of various cloud controls

Hands-on experience with one or more public cloud environment (Azure/AWS/GCP)

Ability to obtain artifacts directly from cloud providers to demonstrate compliance

Ability to interpret generic security controls and translate them into actionable cloud security controls

High tolerance to ambiguity and ability to adapt in a fast-evolving environment

Ability to manage time and priorities across multiple projects and duties

Excellent synthesis and analysis capacity

Impeccable communication skills, both written and oral

Contractual position, 12 months contract

Location: Working from home initially. Then Montreal, Ottawa or Toronto
