CTC006155 - Développeur SQL/SP Sybase

Duration: 6 months mandate. Possibility of permanence.

DESCRIPTION:

Your main challenges:

- Understand the technical components and application architecture, in order to code stored procedures and SQL queries for batch processing.

- Assist in building the flow and sequence of events in the integration solution across applications.

- Assist in defining and reviewing technical requirements for the application including security, integration, performance and quality.

- Create conditions, scenarios, and scripts for unit testing and develop these tests.

More specifically, you will:

- Understand and master the customer's Asset Management environment specifically GDI, Digidoc and approximately 20 other applications

- Participate in the development of the continuous improvement process as well as the evolutionary maintenance of the systems

- Support the customers of these environments

- Supervise the testing phases to ensure that the systems developed or modified are adequate

- Available for occasional support outside of normal business hours

REQUIREMENTS

***3 to 5 years of experience in Stored Procedure (SP) development.

- Three year professional college degree or academic equivalent, related to the industry, and eight years of relevant experience

- Unix experience (shell scripting under AIX, navigating in Unix environments)

- Experience supporting/debugging/optimizing Unix scripts, supporting and analyzing/debugging complex problems

- Experience in creating complex ad-hoc queries

- Experience with complex and high volume data models

- Good experience in SQL query optimization

- Good knowledge of the C programming language

- Good knowledge of SQL in Sybase ASE

- Knowledge of a mainframe environment (Centrale), an asset

- Good knowledge of Asset Management, an asset

- Good ability to propose alternative solutions

- Rigor and attention to detail

- Strong ability to work in a team

- Available for occasional support outside of normal business hours
