We, the messaging team, are looking for a very hands-on system integration engineer or specialist with a good telecom background. We are seeking a candidate who, mainly, will be part of our awesome RCS (Rich Communication Services) team (~4 people) and will be responsible for deployment of projects as much as the operations of the service. The resource needs a good experience with infrastructure integration (ranging from infra to application level), project deployment, troubleshooting & problem resolution, maintenance activities as well as the use of according tools. We are seeking someone who will be comfortable working within a multidisciplinary context and with cross functional internal/external partners.

It is also a possibility that the candidate will have a later opportunity to work on the other services within the Messaging portfolio.

Responsibilities

Deploy and support the RCS feature

Support maintenance and lifecycle activities for the service

Troubleshoot and resolve incidents

Assess & Implement various security controls for the platform

Represent the RCS service with internal/external teams

Support & track platform KPI’s Build reference architecture, define guidelines & processes for the service

Create and deliver best practice recommendations

Automate manual tasks & operations using Ansible and/or similar tools

Qualifications

5-10 years of experience with Linux system administration and deploying Telco services

Hands on experience with Linux on various distributions

Hands on experience with LTE, TCP/IP, Sip protocols

Familiar with Cellular networks knowledge: IMS (Voice and Messaging)

Experience with network/system security, networking technologies and network monitoring tools.

TLS knowledge (HTTPS, PKI, encryption, etc.)

Familiar with automation/orchestration tools such as Ansible and code management tools (GIT), GitLab.

Good understanding of IT technologies (programming, cloud architecture, micro-services, automation) and practices (DevOps, TDD, CI/CD)

IP network troubleshooting (Wireshark)

Able to adjust methodologies used (Agile vs Waterfall) as per need of the project and/or partners

Comfortable with resolving roadblocks and keeping timelines/costs on track

Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

Bilingual (French/English) is an asset
