Remote work: Flexibility with telecommuting. Possibility of an eventual presence on site. It is preferable to live in Montreal and its surroundings. Further away would be accepted in the province of QC.

DESCRIPTION:

- Detailed design of applications and technical architecture components following the application development standards established for the project.

- Work collaboratively with other developers, designers and architects to ensure that the configuration and custom components meet application requirements and performance objectives.

- Follow good programming security practices to ensure applications are free of common programming vulnerabilities.

- Perform unit testing to ensure data quality

- Participate in code review.

- Participate in the transition of the application or technical architecture components with the testers.

- Repair any defects and performance issues discovered during testing.

- Document the application to facilitate maintenance.

- Support the Production Support (Level 2) and internal IT teams.

- Put into production any new components and changes made in Dev and this according to BNC standards.

Your main challenges:

- Understand the business issues, identify the IT needs of stakeholders and propose technological solutions to support their activities

- Develop reliable and efficient ETL flows taking into account the needs and specifications of users, business imperatives and established deadlines

- Analyze change requests, evaluate impacts and make appropriate modifications

- Participate in the design and development of new data integration flows for our Datamart

- Respect the norms and standards of development of the National Bank

- Produce and update technical documentation

- Propose solutions that allow us to be more agile and efficient in our deployments

Required experience:

- At least 5 years experience in BI / ETL solution development.

- Mastery of Datastage or equivalent ETL tool

- Experience in producing detailed and relevant user stories in the context of a project using Agile methodology (JIRA, Confluence...)

- Knowledge and practical experience in quality assurance testing

- Basic knowledge of finance

- Knowledge of Git an asset (SourceTree, Optimus, Gitbash ...)

- Knowledge of Control-M an asset

- Good knowledge of Linux and Shell scripting

- Knowledge of DB2 database

- Knowledge of ticketing system (BMC Remedy)

- Good understanding of Data Warehouse and MFT (File Transfer)

- Rigor and great ability to take charge

- Customer oriented and strong interpersonal skills
