The Business Markets IT Delivery organization is a dynamic team of information technology professionals accountable to deliver projects that include New Product Introductions and enhancements to a range of platforms such as Service Qualification, Order management and Provisioning systems.

Information Technology (IT) is looking for a motivated and knowledgeable project manager with experience in cross functional project delivery. In partnership with multiple sponsors and vendors, the candidate will be responsible to deliver a variety of projects related to upgrades of existing functionality and introduction for new functionality.

Job duties / accountabilities:

Reporting to the Program Manager, this position will manage multiple projects including:

Develop scope, manage planning, implementation and delivery of projects to meet client requirements;

Manage project teams to deliver project scope on-time, quality and budget; owning project success

Produce project cost estimates, develop and manage the project budget;

Provide required project documentation to sponsor, executives and project team members, including: project status, scope definition, project charters, detailed project management plans with schedule of key milestones, issue logs, budget tracking reports, weekly status reports and risk assessments/contingency plans;

Maintain a detailed WBS of the project tasks including dates, durations and dependencies;

Responsible for risk identification/ mitigation planning;

Lead release management discussion to optimize environment and resource utilization and leverage synergies amongst projects;

Actively and autonomously manage change and issues within the project; effectively leveraging escalation paths when required

Manage the sponsor’s expectations proactively and consistently in order to deliver value while minimizing risk for the team

Essential Qualifications / Competencies:

Relevant Degree or Diploma, Project Management Certification (PMP or PMC) and/or BA Certification;

5-10 years project management experience;

Proven ability to manage successful business relationships with peers in various departments and at different levels of management;

Strong planning and organization skills. This, in order to manage projects with numerous stakeholders and systems with a diverse set of consumer applications;

Strong MS Project knowledge

Experience working with the Agile methodology;

Good understanding of IT, hands on experience with Waterfall methodology and Agile;

Ability to manage ambiguity, numerous interdependencies and constant changing priorities while driving toward smooth delivery;

Preferred Qualifications / Competencies:

A Masters Certificate in Project Management is optional but highly recommended

PMP Certification is highly regarded;

Release Train Engineer (RTE) experience

Bilingualism is an asset;

Familiarity with client processes and systems for costs management would be an asset – PEATS, PORT, SAP;

Familiarity with the client Business Solution Process, Agile, and PTP methodologies;

General knowledge and understanding of client’s network, systems and processes.
