Duration: 12 months with possibility of permanent or extended contract

Bilingualism: French, mandatory. Understanding of English at a minimum (functional English preferred).

Remote work: Yes, but canidate must be in the Province of Quebec or Ontario

The candidate's main mandate will be to ensure that the business lines are always adequately prepared, in advance, for the implementation of new regulatory requirements for the Personal and Commercial lines. To do so, the candidate will oversee the end-to-end delivery of regulatory initiatives.

Your main challenges:

Acquire a thorough understanding of regulatory changes and assess the impact on the Personal and Commercial business

Act as a Product Owner, the guardian of the customer experience and business value, in multi-disciplinary teams on their projects, which includes :

Build and manage the product backlog of user stories.

Prioritize activities according to requirements start dates and user needs, while taking into consideration IT constraints, external partners, and change management.

Communicate the MVP (minimal viable product) to project teams.

Demonstrate leadership by aligning multiple stakeholders around the vision and delivery strategy of their projects.

Guide project development by articulating a target business vision and priority activities to integrate new regulatory requirements.

Maintain an understanding of the relevant financial regulatory environment (FCAC, OSFI, FINTRAC, etc.)

Be proactive in resolving issues

Provide periodic updates and recommendations

Build and maintain strong and cooperative relationships with all relevant Personal and Commercial partners involved in the implementation of its initiatives, be a facilitator in a culture of accountability.

Maintain an in-depth knowledge of existing products and the Personal and Commercial segment ecosystem

Ensure alignment with the Bank's other business lines

In addition, the manager would like to clarify for this position in the need is primarily to understand a scope of projects and navigate business needs. You need to be able to prioritize and understand needs, manage stakeholders well, bills, etc. The profile sought must be agile to understand beyond IT. The manager is looking for more soft skills for this Product Owner position than specialized IT resources.
