Work is 100% on site, no remote work. 5 days/5 in office, Monday to Friday.
Typical day to day in this role -
Prepare computers, answer calls from users, help users who come to the IT room with their Desktop or On-air support needs/issues, troubleshoot Windows/Office/IT applications, support IT computers in newsrooms, studios and control rooms, refresh the computer fleet, help users configure professional emails on their phones, create and update technical documents for knowledge database, keep IT equipment inventory up to date.

Qualification :

Diploma or Degree in Computer Studies or related field,

Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position,

Bilingual (mandatory) - advanced French + English
Interview process - A first virtual interview will be scheduled with the selected candidates. If several candidates are interesting, a second interview may be necessary. This second interview could be virtual or in person, to be determined. No assessment.
There is no potential for extension or to hire full time.
Work independently to resolve desktop IT issues for client’s On Air production, supporting computers in newsrooms, studios and control rooms. You will provide technical expertise and support to ensure all issues are resolved in a timely fashion; additionally, you will participate in system maintenance, hardware upgrades, and installation and support of business applications.
You will also be required to provide desktop support for client’s administrative staff, which includes all departments (eg. Sales, Marketing, Promotions, Brand Partnership, HR etc.)
Responsibilities will also include supporting key business staff including client executives.
Job Duties / Accountabilities:

Supporting 2 main buildings in Montreal for Desktop and On-Air support

Work with users and other technical personnel to resolve problems

Responsible for On-Air production desktop support including computers in newsrooms/studios/control rooms

Knowledge of Production applications an asset (iNews, PRX, Harris systems)

Knowledge of Sales applications an asset (Wide Orbit, Radius, ATC)

Answer phone support requests via Avaya One X softphone

Support people who come to the IT room for help with their PC

Manage assigned tickets in a timely fashion

Assume responsibility for tasks assigned to them and ensures proper technical solutions have been applied

Prepare computers for new employees or special projects
-
Participate in system maintenance, upgrades, etc
-
Install / upgrade business applications
-
Support remote access (Citrix, VPN, WAN) to business applications
-
Support common Desktop applications issues including Office 365, Web browsers
-
Support Desktop OS issues (Windows 10/11)
-
Support corporate email on mobile devices (InTune)

Create and update technical documents for knowledge database
Essential Qualifications / Competencies:
-
Minimum of 2 years experience with:
-
Troubleshooting IT issues for Windows 10/11 workstations and MS Office 365
-
Knowledge of network technologies (TCP/IP VPN, DHCP)
-
Experience with mobile devices
-
Experience using SCCM (remote control console)

Experience with Active Directory
-
Experience with ServiceNow or other ticketing system

Experience with Avaya One X or other call center phone system
-
Strong time management and organizational skills
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills and ability to work well under pressure

Diploma or Degree in Computer Studies or related field

Bilingual (mandatory) - advanced French + English
Working Conditions:
-
Hours of work are 37.5 hours per week. Overtime as required.(7.5h/day: predetermined schedule that can vary between 8am and 6pm, Mon to Fri)

Must be able to lift 30lbs (13.6kg), to move computer equipment.
