Reporting to: IT Solutions Manager

Overview:
The consultant will work within the specified SAP HR modules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate incident tickets, problems, and change requests.

  • Recommend best business practices and propose various value-added solutions through contextual analysis.

  • Gather business, functional, and non-functional requirements and propose appropriate solutions.

  • Participate in planning and effort estimation for activities and deliverables.

  • Actively participate in workshops for solution design.

  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and document development/configuration specifications.

  • Configure the system for the OM-PA-PY module, including schema modifications.

  • Document configuration details.

  • Contribute to solution validation documentation (integrated tests) and document pre-deployment testing requirements.

  • Identify and document test cases.

  • Execute and document tests.

  • Participate in and analyze module upgrades (patches and version updates).

  • Act as an expert within the PUBLIC ORGANIZATION team, contributing to their expertise in the module.

Required Qualifications:

  • University degree in IT or business management, or equivalent experience.

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in SAP HR-PY analysis and configuration in ECC6 HCM and SuccessFactors EC (EP).

  • At least five (5) years of hands-on experience with at least three (3) of the following SAP HR modules: PY, PA-BEN, OM, PA.

  • Strong knowledge of SAP HR solution configuration and PY schema modification.

  • Knowledge of Spinifex is an asset.

  • 1 or 2 participations in SAP S4/HANA projects in a similar role is an asset.

  • SAP certification in at least one (1) module.

  • Knowledge of agile methodology is an asset.

  • Dual expertise in IT and business domain preferred.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with leadership qualities.

  • Ability to promote optimal solutions to complex problems.

  • Strong team spirit and client-focused approach.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Autonomous and detail-oriented.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Excellent writing skills.

  • Proficiency in French (spoken and written) with a good understanding of English.

Additional Information:

  • 100% remote work, preferably within the same time zone as Canada.

  • Occasional travel to the Montreal office may be required in case of critical issues, subject to discussion.

  • The majority of modifications will be within HCM ECC6, while SuccessFactors is mentioned due to hybrid integration.

  • Some developments will be required to support both systems running in parallel.

  • Responsibilities include handling multiple HR-PY-related modifications, such as:


  • Collective agreement requests (renewal for 9 accreditations).

  • Payroll premiums, contingents, benefits (Category 2).

  • PY and PT schema modifications.

  • Various developments for ECC to S4HANA/SuccessFactors transition.

  • Support pack updates in October.

  • Maintenance of calendars and parameters.

  • LSMW creation.

HR Specific Tasks:

  • Shift planning rules (widely used process at HQ).

  • Spinifex upgrade.

Payroll Specific Tasks:

  • Mid-year updates based on government or regulatory changes.

  • Year-end payroll support from November to February.

  • Preparation for the new payroll year.

  • Tax slip preparation.

  • Salary progression.
