Description

  • Duration: 6 months +

  • Bilingualism: French (spoken and written) and English for discussions with suppliers.

  • Maximum rate: Flexible

  • Telecommuting: Hybrid

  • We're looking for applicants with 10+ years' experience in a DBA role, primarily Oracle, Exadata (ExaCC)

  • The client is migrating to the cloud, so we are also looking for candidates with experience in cloud migration, either RDS, PostgreSQL or Aurora.

  • Attendance of 1 to 2 days a week will be required (depending on meetings, projects and needs).

  • Attendance mandatory at monthly team meetings and during PI Planning (quarterly)

  • Possible evening or weekend participation during planned service releases (infrequent).


Role :

  • Responsible for database installation, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, backups and performance optimization.

  • Upgrade of multiple Oracle Grid infrastructure clusters

  • Expertise in configuring and supporting disaster recovery with DataGuard

  • Involvement in end-to-end development of Oracle solutions and other technologies for on-premise solutions, including infrastructure, embedded systems, database components and middleware

  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to technical and administrative resources for the operation of the new Cloud environment

  • Implementation of high availability/disaster recovery solutions, including Oracle Data Guard, storage replication and automatic failover

  • Technical writing (cookbooks, runbooks and user guides).


Profile:

  • Oracle Database 19c Administrator; Real Application Clusters (RAC)

  • Administration of Oracle databases (mainly versions 11 and 12)

  • Oracle Database 10g and/or 11g Administrator Certified Professional

  • Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL scripting

  • Knowledge of RMAN with TSM

  • OEM administration

  • Knowledge of high availability / disaster recovery solutions, including Oracle Data Guard, storage replication and automatic failover

  • Knowledge of UNIX (AIX) and Linux (OL7 and RHEL)

  • Ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple and meaningful way

  • Asset: Knowledge of setting up automated pipelines for the cloud (CI/CD, Jenkins, Ansible, GitHub, Harness, Artifactory)

  • Asset: Interest in systems architecture and development in general

  • Asset: Technical project management skills
