Your team : 

Reporting to the Senior Director, being a solution architect for the Wealth Management business line, you are part of a team of 20 colleagues committed to the practice of solution architecture and the development of their leadership. Our team stands out for its mutual support, the existence of a “safe space” and the consideration given to the conditions for success when assigning tasks. What's more, all team members are part of a leadership development program. 


Your job: 

  • Your advanced knowledge of technologies and the solution architecture process will enable you to support our brokerage and investment specialists in implementing innovative solutions.

  • Mobilize the various experts to produce solutions that meet the functional and non-functional needs of the business lines, while being aligned with the company's strategic targets;

  • Develop authentic leadership and servant leadership;

  • Participate in peer reviews and support your fellow architects when they need help;

  • Popularize and promote the architecture governance process to project teams;

  • Contribute to the evolution of solution architecture practice;

  • Evaluate solution implementation and maintenance costs;

  • Be aware of and understand the impact of technology on business processes and applications, in order to communicate them to different types of audience;

  • Contribute to the preparation and execution of planning exercises (SAFe term “PI Planning”).

  • Ensure that the activities under your responsibility run smoothly, from development to production, and that the technological solutions are of the highest quality.


Skills required: 

  • Completed Bachelor's degree, related to the business sector, and seven (7) to ten (10) years of relevant experience in solution architecture

  • Experience as a solution architect in the financial sector

  • Experience with the ServiceNow platform an asset

  • Minimum 5 years' experience with system integration technologies (API, microservices, ESB, Kafka, etc.)

  • Experience with Java, Kafka and Kubernetes an asset

  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (Sybase, Oracle or Postgresql and mongoDB)

  • Knowledge of security concepts (SAML, OAuth, OpenID)

  • Experience with AWS cloud solutions (AWS Certified Solution Architect Associate certification an asset)

  • Experience with agile methodologies

  • Ability to facilitate effective workshops and meetings

  • Ability to work in a team and under pressure

  • Authenticity and servant leadership

  • Bilingualism (spoken/written) in French and English required
