After reviewing the candidates I’ve received so far I noticed that most of their skills are marketing based (ie. executing campaigns, data analysis, SEM/SEO/paid media, etc.). These are not the skills they are looking for in the role. Looking for marketing communications and project management, especially the latter.

HM UPDATE** A reminder to the suppliers that I am looking for marcom/marketing communications and project management experience, not design experience. We work with UX/UI teams to create designs for us, so while it is beneficial for the candidate to have experience working with wireframes/mock-ups as part of an overall project, they do not need to be able to and will not be creating them.

As a Marketing Communications & Digital Projects Specialist you will support the direction and execution of the online customer experience for all strategic digital projects. This role will be responsible for ensuring the digital experiences for visitors of client is industry-leading and in-line with the company’s goals, while helping develop the content and experiences that will enhance and engage our audience. This fast-paced role requires the candidate to have a high degree of project and stakeholder management experience, and is someone takes initiative, likes problem solving and is proactive.

Job Duties/Accountabilities:

  • Support all digital strategic projects for Client's Consumer and Small Business websites
  • Partner with IT, Product, Operations, Product Owners and creative primes to define and deliver projects
  • Support with the development and delivery of wireframes, mock-ups and editorial content
  • Ensure the highest levels of visual and customer experience standards are met
  • Use web analytics and data to drive informed decisions
  • Constantly look for opportunities to improve the customer online experience
  • Critical Qualifications/Competencies:

  • 2+ years of experience in a web, digital or project management role (or similar
  • Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale digital projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience with stakeholder management
  • Strong collaborator; you welcome feedback and see team problem solving as a natural part of the creative process.
  • Naturally analytical, proactive and very organized
  • Keen attention to detail and comfort building timelines are a must
  • Solid partnering and creative problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated, experienced in working in teams
  • Flexible, self-starter able to cope with ambiguity, and willing to embrace change
  • Preferred Skills/Competencies:

  • Knowledge of the telecommunications industry or other technology
  • Bilingual (French & English) is an asset
  • UX/UI experience
