JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Network support will act as a front line support will be involved in the management of store support
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
o remotely support the store by troubleshooting with the store employees who are non-technical
o work with ISPs to resolve internet connectivity issues with remote locations
o book and manage service calls with the ISP and communicate with the store
Essential Competencies/Skills:
must have excellent communication skills
bi-lingual French English preferred
must be comfortable cold calling ISPs and Stores, with a friendly attitude
understand and troubleshoot Wan connections, PPPoE, DHCP and static IP services
must have good understanding of IPv4
must have experience with Internet facing firewalls, Fortigate firewalls is a plus
understand various VPN technologies
be familiar with Layer 2 switching, understand vlans
have an understanding of network security, 802.1x and MAC control
basic understanding of BGP and other routing protocols
basic understanding of traffic shaping and bandwidth management
Understand Wifi and how devices connect to wifi.
