Description

• In search of an independent, self-motivated contractor with an accounting background who has experience implementing projects, user testing, and data mining, as well as excellent analytical and advanced Excel skills.

• Additionally, preferred skills include

• MicroStrategy, SAP, or Alteryx experience.

• Language : English

• Work is Hybrid ( Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday in-office days, Thursday & Friday work from home)

Typical day-to-day

• Attend project team calls, collaborate with IT team (develop and enhance revenue reports), user testing, download and analyze data from vendor portals, prepare journal entries, Test, create MicroStrategy reports, automate manual processes

Top 3 skill sets and qualifications

• Experience in Accounting/Finance environment,

• Strong analytical skills (manipulating large data, advanced Excel),

• experience in building/ improving finance automation

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the coordination, preparing and delivery of financial reporting and analysis.

• Responsible for the preparation of journal entries and maintenance of accounting records.

• Assist with the co-ordination of month end close activity.

• Responsible for the timely completion of complex account analysis and reconciliations.

• Prepare operating expense variance analysis.

• Maintain appropriate controls for financial reporting.

• Qualifications include:

• Accounting designation (CGA, CA, CMA) with 5 years experience in an accounting environment;

• Strong computer skills (Excel and Word);

• Expert in Financial Systems; and Strong attention to detail.
