Mandate Duration: 12 months, renewable
Remote Work: 2 days per week in the downtown Montreal office – mandatory
Bilingualism: French: mandatory. Functional English: mandatory

Your Role:

  • Solution Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their business needs (functional and non-functional) to design high-quality, end-to-end technical solutions that are composable and aligned with business objectives.

  • Integration Technology Expertise: Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, platforms, and tools suitable for each project, ensuring that solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant with industry standards.

  • Cloud Expertise: Develop cloud-native or hybrid solutions by leveraging the most appropriate AWS cloud services for the project context, such as serverless and containers.

  • Security and Risk Management Expertise: Develop and implement robust security measures to protect data, applications, and systems, ensuring compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory standards.

  • Leadership and Client Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to clients by presenting and explaining technical solutions while leading and mentoring a team of developers throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Integration Patterns: Identify the most appropriate integration patterns, such as APIs, streaming, MSA, containerization/serverless, to enable scalability, maintainability, decoupling, security, and cost-efficiency.

  • Domain-Driven Design (DDD): Apply DDD principles to solve complex problems while delivering composable architecture.

Prerequisites:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology with 10 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree in information technology with 8 years of relevant experience.

  • Proven experience as a solutions architect, focusing on complex, large-scale solutions.

  • Expertise in AWS cloud services, such as EKS and Serverless, as well as structured and unstructured databases like Aurora, RDS, DynamoDB, and S3.

  • Mastery of concepts, technologies, and solutions in a modern ecosystem, including composable architecture, microservices, APIs, event-driven architecture, security, and cloud services.

  • Expertise and technical experience in API security standards, such as OAuth 2 and OIDC.

  • Deep knowledge of OpenAPI and AsyncAPI standards.

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.

  • Strong abilities in synthesis, analysis, and simplification.

  • Experience with agile methodologies.

  • Holding an AWS Solution Architect Associate or Professional certification is an asset.
