Description
The Software Project Manager (Product Owner / Product Manager) plays a crucial role in managing and evolving the software products developed at CHU de Québec – Université Laval. They are responsible for identifying client needs, prioritizing requirements, and overseeing the product lifecycle while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in an Agile environment.

Understand strategic issues affecting the product and ensure alignment with institutional goals.

Represent the client’s voice, validate the relevance of needs, and ensure the product fully meets expectations.

Identify and document functional and technological requirements based on client needs.

Manage and prioritize work tasks to ensure readiness of product backlog items.

Participate in PI planning, presenting the product vision and highlighting key requirements.

Work with technical architects, users, and integrators to assess project risks and prerequisites.

Participate in internal system demonstrations with development teams.

Review and present new release contents to clients and partner institutions.

Oversee the user community activities and enhance user experience.

Oversee the planning and tracking of projects under their responsibility.

Prepare periodic reports for DRI managers.

Implement a systematic approach for risk identification and management.

Ensure continuous knowledge sharing by documenting and communicating lessons learned.

Work with cross-functional teams operating in an Agile framework.

Apply concepts of Lean, Scrum, Kanban, XP Programming to optimize product management.

Utilize expertise in business documentation and project management to structure deliverables efficiently.
Requirements:

Recognized experience in managing complex and diverse projects.

Expertise in information systems analysis and advanced functional analysis.

Strong writing and summarization skills.

Knowledge of Quebec health network information systems (a plus).

Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) (a plus).

Certification in Product Ownership or other relevant product management certification (a plus).

Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Lean, Scrum, Kanban, XP Programming) (a plus).
