Description

• Telecommuting: Hybrid 40% face-to-face (2 days per week), downtown montreal office

• Bilingualism: French mandatory English desirable

Your role

Solution Architecture - Data :

• Develop and maintain a complete data architecture

• Analyze and profile, design, model and optimize data for business projects based on DDD.

• Create data models, data flows, message models (JSON), identify authoritative data sources, value domains and ensure data integrity

• Produce secure data solutions that comply with industry and legal standards

Data Strategy :

• Collaborate closely with the data governance office and the data owner in defining data strategies

• Identify opportunities for data-driven innovation and improvement (such as the use of industry and AI models for optimal data exploitation)

• Recommend data technologies (SQL vs NoSQL, Data Mesh, ...)

Data Integration :

• Design data integration solutions to connect data sources and identify data flows and transformations required.

Data Governance :

• Contribute to the evolution of data governance policies, standards and best data practices

• Ensure data quality, traceability and metadata management

• Monitor data access, security and compliance

Leadership and Customer Engagement:

• Act as a trusted advisor to data owners and data engineers in identifying data-related solutions

• Lead and mentor a team of data developers and analysts throughout the project lifecycle to ensure data quality, integrity and protection.

Prerequisites

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, and ten years of relevant experience or Master's degree in Information Technology, and eight years of relevant experience

• Proven experience as a data architect, with a focus on large-scale, complex data solutions

• Mastery of data modeling, database design (structured and unstructured), data lakes and data warehouses

• Experience in data integration techniques and data transformation and reporting tools (such as Athena, RedShift, Quicksight, etc.)

• Mastery of AWS cloud data services (RDS, DynamoDB, DocumentDB, Neptune, ...)

• In-depth knowledge of OpenApi and AsyncApi standards, modeling tools such as (Power Designer, ...) and data catalogs (such as collibra, ...)

• Excellent communication and influencing skills

• Strong synthesis, analysis and popularization skills

• Experience with agile methodologies

• Relevant certifications (e.g. Data Management Professional, AWS Data Analytics) an asset
