Description

The IT Technician – Customer Service & Onsite Support is responsible for the deployment, maintenance, and technical support of IT equipment and software used at CHU de Québec – Université Laval. They assist users with technical issues and participate in various IT management and maintenance activities.

Responsibilities:

  • IT Equipment Management


  • User Support


  • Deployment & IT Solution Improvement


  • Help Desk & Call Management


  • Receive, inventory, and prepare new IT equipment (computers, peripherals, etc.).

  • Install and configure authorized software and applications according to DRI standards.

  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on IT equipment.

  • Respond to technical support requests and diagnose hardware and software issues.

  • Assist users during the deployment or upgrade of IT systems and equipment.

  • Participate in user access and permission management.

  • Participate in the deployment of new IT solutions and system upgrades.

  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure service continuity.

  • Join follow-up meetings and scrums to maintain effective service delivery.

  • Answer calls and manage incidents through the help desk center.

  • Provide guidance and recommendations to users to improve their experience and reduce recurring issues.

Requirements:

  • Recognized and relevant experience in customer service and technical support.

  • Minimum of 3 months of experience required for this role.

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows and related tools.
