Locations being considered - Toronto or Ottawa, but would consider Halifax

Bilingual not required.

Hybrid role – (3days office and home 2 days). Training would require office presence.

  • Working with other project managers on the team your strength will bring to our team the ability to

  1. Read scopes of work, prepare estimations, present final quotations to clients

  2. Manage resources to complete specific tasks on time and within the client imposed schedule

  3. Manage material purchasing and arrival in a just-in-time environment

  4. Maintain control over quality standards and project costs over the duration of projects

  5. Actively communicate during the installation process with the client

  6. Reconcile the project financials, recognizing the impact of labor and material choices

  7. Provide final project documentation to clients

  • Will travel to sites to review, monitor and manage work activities

  • Identifies all “out of scope” work and obtains proper documentation related to change orders

  • Track and provide progress reports and ensure issues are addressed


Top 3 skills sets and qualifications -

  • 3- 5 years in project management, experience in construction or structured cabling is an asset. RCDD and/or RCDD/OSP/RTPM/NST/PMP designation is an asset with design or installation experience in Structured Cabling

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel

  • Excellent written, oral and typing communication skills


Interview process - Virtual, scheduled over a 1 to 2 week span.

Projects you will be working on - Variety of Cabling projects for LAN associated in our clients offices.

Client’s cabling solutions is looking for a Cabling project manager for the National Cabling Solutions team.


The candidate is responsible for achieving the business strategies and tactical plans for the Cabling Division by managing projects involving the installation of structured cabling systems designed with fiber cables, copper cables, and other physical layer mediums. The individual maintains a network of business contacts to capitalize on business opportunities, while promoting client’s culture and values.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3- 5 years in project management, experience in construction or structured cabling is an asset.

  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a supportive work environment

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Superior client relationship skills

  • Excellent written, oral and typing communication skills

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.

  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively with attention to detail

  • Ability to adapt to a changing business environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel

  • Must be willing to learn proprietary provisioning and estimating software


PREFERRED QUALIFICATION AND COMPETENCIES

  • RCDD and/or RCDD/OSP/RTPM/NST/PMP designation is an asset with design or installation experience in Structured Cabling

  • Bilingualism is a strong asset

  • PWGSC Reliability or Secret Level II Security Clearance is an asset but can be obtained for the right candidate
